Silence, Before Rain- My next project!

I am so excited to announce I've been cast in a short silent film being shot on 8 millimeter film set on the beach in the 1960s! The project is called Silence, Before Rain and is being written and directed by Jason Sklaver.

I had been invited to audition and then called back for the role of Jane, but when I was offered a role in the film, the casting director, Tawney, said I wasn't necessarily right for Jane, but they liked me and my personality and what I brought to the audition so much that they are writing in a character for me! I'll be playing a supporting role called Jenny as of right now. I'm so excited to be apart of this project and I'm really looking forward to working on a period piece and getting to wear some 1960s beach fashion!

My boyfriend Mike bought me a perfect floppy hat for the beach for my birthday that I'll hopefully be able to use for the film as well!

My dreams of pretending I'm on Mad Men are coming true! Honestly, though, the 1960s are one of my favorite time periods so I'm so excited to be apart of that world for this shoot!

I'm also super stoked to be shooting on 8 millimeter. It's going to be an interesting shoot as each roll of film will only have about two to four minutes of footage on it before we'll have to change reels, but I am so excited to be working on something that is going to take a lot of precision and dedication to the art of film making.

We'll be shooting in January, which isn't ideal beach weather, but I'm almost excited for that too! I have no problem sacrificing a bit of warmth to be working on this interesting project.
