Busy, busy, busy!

Hello to whoever's reading! I'm sorry I've been a bit "all quiet on the Western... coast," but I've been a busy lady these past few months!

I had the opportunity to work on and wrap two short films in March and April, both of which I am very excited about! Silence, Before Rain was a fun shoot to work on as we shot on El Matador Beach in Malibu- such a lovely drive to get there from Hollywood and such a lovely set to be working on! Not only was the set lovely, but the cast and crew were lovely as well. Can't wait to share more on this project as things develop, but for now, it's rather hush hush on the social media and internet blabbing as they're hoping to submit it to next year's festival season once post-production is completed!

The second project I worked on is called Spectrographs and Soliloquies directed by the delightful Cody Lawrence and shot by the masterful Brian Tang. This was also such a fun project to be apart of. I got to play so many different aspects of a character that I've never gotten the opportunity to play before which was so exciting and the entire cast and crew were so wonderful to work with and so incredibly professional. Our call sheets said no social media posting, so I want to be a bit quiet on this one as well until further developments, but I'm very excited to see this final product- it's SCI-FI and very much along the lines of some of my absolute favorites such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Super 8.

In between getting to act on these fun projects- I've also landed a new day gig to help off-set the living costs of being a young actor in Hollywood, CA. I'm now working in the customer service and fulfillment department for ScoreBIg- a ticket provider that sells tickets to events, shows and games for as much as 60% below box office price!

They're such a chill and cool company and I'm getting the hang of things more and more each day, and their patience with me has been outstanding! This job has brought me a feeling of security I haven't felt in a very long time, so I am pretty stoked that they're the ones that are going to be helping me fund my art-making here in Hollywood!

ALSO, we have a NEW TRAILER PREMIERE for Beautiful Brooke happening on May 4th! That's only a few short days away, now! Which I will be so excited to share with you all then. I am very excited to see even a glimpse of this film as it's been in post-production for quite some time.

On the horizon for me? I hopefully have another short film in the works to film this month- more on that as details develop- and of course, auditioning when I can and working at ScoreBig! I'm also really hoping to try and get into a class as soon as possible. I'm leaning towards UCB Improv classes- as terrifying as it sounds to me, I keep hearing one can't get better without doing something they've never done before... or at least something they've never done successfully! Looking forward to hopefully growing some improvisation muscles! Can't wait to update you guys more when I can! Thanks for reading! :)
